Sonja has been studying Oriental Dance with Alexia for 6 years, and has performed with the Alexandria Dancers for 4 years. She has previous experience in Oriental, Latin, ballroom and swing dance, and extensive musical training in piano, brass, and string instruments. Sonja has studied bellydance in intensive workshops with Alexia, Amir and Yousef of Argentina, Tito from Egypt, Momo Kadous from Egypt, Bozenka, Samara of New York, Virginia of Miami, Linda of Nashville, Gina of Atlanta, Aradia of Las Vegas, and others.

She has performed at Mirage Restaurant in Knoxville for 3 years, and has appeared in numerous other venues including Alexia’s Egyptian Nights series, the Knoxville Rossini Festival, Cedar’s Restaurant of Orlando, and private parties, functions, and shows across the southeast, in New York, and Las Vegas.
